Take Action

Why won't people take action to get better? You would think if something about you is broken you would try to fix it. Too may people have an excuse. “I can't do that” I hear that all the time. Yes if you could do that you'd be doing it. That's a time honored excuse but it's getting a little rusty.

At what point did a guy dragging something decide to help himself by putting a log under whatever it was he wanted to move and by doing it invent the wheel?

Who thought up using a piece of wood to float across the water because he couldn't swim and by doing with invent the boat?

Why does meat taste better cooked over fire than eaten raw and what thinking led to this?

What is better for you, waiting to be helped or helping yourself?

How do you change?

Ask yourself this question. Am I getting better doing what I'm doing?

No?

Then stop doing what your doing and do something else.

Simple!

I think we've all heard the saying, “the definition of insanity is to keep on doing what you've been doing and still expecting different results.”

Here a practical example. My trucks air conditioner broke down after several years of use. I asked a technician (they don't like to be called mechanics anymore) what it might cost to fix it. When he said up to a thousand dollars I decided to live without it.

For the next three years every time it was hot I'd ask another technician the same question and get the same answer and I would live without air conditioner again.

On the fourth year of no A/C I gave in and told the technician to “just fix it” no matter the cost.Half an hour latter he came up to me and said it was fixed.“How much?”, I asked.“Thirty dollars”. Was he's reply.I was dumbfounded all those years of going without and only thirty dollars not a thousand to fix the problem. Why did I wait so long?

Simply I expected the fix would be outside my budget or in different terms something I couldn't do.

I continued to ask but did nothing. It was only when I did something did I get what I had wanted all along.

What's stopping you? Did you tell yourself it would cost too much to fix whatever is broken with you?

Did someone tell you this?

How long have you waited and not taken action.

It's time to stop what you've been doing and do something else.

Take action.

Decide to get better.

Only listen to those who think positive.

Seek help from them.

Most importantly You have to take action, words without action are simply words.
